DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/02 14:02 Crop Prices Rebound Friday, Led by Soybean Oil as Russia Holds Back Gas Active contracts of corn, soybeans and all three U.S. wheats all finished higher Friday, shaking off Thursday's COVID concerns in China and recognizing difficulties planting winter wheat this fall. December soybean oil posted the largest percentage gain of the sector, ending up 2.66 cents after Russia's Gazprom said it would not resume the flow of gas to Europe on Saturday, as was expected. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 7 3/4 cents and July corn was up 5 3/4 cents. November soybeans closed up 25 3/4 cents and July soybeans were up 23 3/4 cents. December KC wheat closed up 9 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 16 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 3 1/2 cents. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.17 at 109.51. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 744.16 points at 32,547.62. December gold is down $22.00 at $1,749.40, September silver is down $0.37 at $18.76 and September copper is down $0.010. October crude oil is up $0.43 at $92.95, October heating oil is up $0.0430, October RBOB gasoline is up $0.0183 and October natural gas is down $0.082.
