DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/06 13:52 China's Restrictions Weigh on Soybean Prices; Corn Pushes Higher Once again, measures to prevent the spread of COVID in China are restraining the economy and adding to traders' fears that demand in the soy complex may weaken. December corn and winter wheat prices pressed higher in Tuesday's trade, supported partly by dry forecasts. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 10 1/4 cents and July corn was up 11 cents. November soybeans closed down 21 3/4 cents and July soybeans were down 21 cents. December KC wheat closed up 4 1/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 6 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 1/4 cent. The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.75 at 110.26. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 112.33 points at 31,206.11. December gold is down $11.20 at $1,711.40, December silver is down $0.01 at $17.88 and December copper is up $0.0415. October crude oil is up $0.16 at $87.03, October heating oil is up $0.0055, October RBOB gasoline is down $0.0364 and October natural gas is down $0.668.
