DTN Early Word Grains 10/07 05:51 Crop Prices Cautiously Higher Early Friday as Harvest Continues December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 4 cents and December KC wheat was up 9 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY GLOBEX PRICES: December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 4 cents and December KC wheat was up 9 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Friday, stock futures in the U.S. were starting slightly higher with markets lower to mixed in Europe. At 7:30 a.m. CDT Friday morning, the U.S. Labor Department will release its jobs report for September with implications for Federal Reserve policy. China's markets are still on holiday and will be back Monday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 346.93 at 29,926.94 and the S&P 500 down 38.76 at 3,744.52, while the 10-Year Treasury yield increased to 3.83%, near the highest yield in 12 years. Early Friday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 18 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.71%. European markets are slightly lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.20%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.17% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.03%. The December euro is up $0.0019 at $.9861. The December U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.24 at 111.94. The December 30-year T-bond is down 7/32nds, while December gold is down $0.90 at $1,719.90 and November crude oil is up $0.47 at $88.92. December Malaysian palm oil is trading up 3.1%. There are no quotes from China's Dalian exchange or stock market this week due to a national holiday.
