DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/21 16:02 December Live Cattle Closed at New Contract High Heading into Monday's market, all eyes will be on feedlots in the North as packers are likely going to be more aggressive next week, given that they didn't get many Northern cattle bought this week. ShayLe Stewart DTN Livestock Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: It was an exceptional day for the livestock complex as the markets were able to close higher and Friday's Cattle on Feed report ended up being the icing on the cake for an outstanding week. Hog prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $5.85 with a weighted average of $88.89 on 3,588 head. December corn is up 1/4 cent per bushel and December soybean meal is up $4.60. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 748.97 points.
