DTN Closing Grain Comments 11/23 14:01 Grain, Soy Markets Rebound From Early Selling to Close Strong Grain and soy markets traded unchanged to lower levels just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in light volume, before moving higher at midday, with each market closing with solid gains. There was not a lot of fresh news to drive markets on Wednesday, other than China's surge in new COVID cases, and the resulting negative demand implications from that. Soybean oil was able to rally sharply despite the sharp early fall in crude oil futures. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed up 7 cents and July corn was up 6 1/4 cents. January soybeans closed up 6 1/4 cents and July soybeans were up 5 cents. March KC wheat closed up 7 3/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 3 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 2 cents, with spot December up 11 3/4 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 1.07 at 106.05. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 68.51 points at 34,166.61. December gold is up $10.50 at $1,750.40, December silver is up $0.50 at $21.55 and December copper is up $0.0280. December crude oil is down $3.19 at $77.76, December ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0886, December RBOB gasoline is down $0.0546 and December natural gas is up $0.486.
