DTN Closing Grain Comments 01/09 14:00 Crop Prices Mostly Lower, Even as US Dollar Drops to New Low March contracts of corn, soybeans and the two winter wheats posted small losses Monday, unable to close higher on a day that saw the U.S. Dollar Index trade at its lowest prices in over six months. March soybean oil showed a small gain with help from modestly higher crude oil prices on Monday afternoon. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 1 1/4 cents and July corn was down 1 cent. March soybeans closed down 4 cents and July soybeans were down 6 cents. March KC wheat closed down 3 1/2 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 1/4 cent.
