DTN Early Word Grains 02/06 05:42 Row Crops, Soybean Meal Start the Week Lower March corn is down 4 cents, March soybeans are down 8 cents and March KC wheat is up 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 4 cents, March soybeans are down 8 cents and March KC wheat is up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, stock futures in the U.S. were trading lower, along with stocks in Europe, still pressured by last week rate hikes in the U.S., U.K. and Europe. USDA's weekly report of grain export inspections is due out at 10 a.m. CST Monday. First quarter earnings season gets back underway with reports from Tyson Foods, Cummins and IDEXX Laboratories due out on Monday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: 93 at 33,926.01 and the S&P 500 down 43.28 at 4,136.48. The 10-Year Treasury yield jumped up to 3.53%, up from the lowest yield in over four months. Early Monday, March Dow Jones futures are down 248 points. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.67% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.76%. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.91%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 1.01% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 1.42%. The March euro is down $0.0038 at $1.0791. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.43 at 103.18. The March 30-year T-bond is down 22/32nds, while April gold is up $9.30 at $1,885.90 and March crude oil is up $0.13 at $73.52. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was down 0.9%, March soybeans were up 0.6%, May soybean meal was up 1.2% and May soybean oil was up 0.5%. April Malaysian palm oil is closed Monday for a national holiday.
