DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/09 13:42 Corn, Wheat Markets Falter; Soymeal Again Surges; Beans Steady In quiet, post-report trade, early strength did not last long with most markets fading, except for soymeal which again surged. Corn and wheat were under heavy selling pressure as export demand remains very sluggish in both markets. Major soymeal-soy oil spreading was being reported in Thursday trade. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 7 3/4 cents per bushel and May corn was down 7 1/4 cents. March soybeans closed down 1/2 cent and May soybeans were down 2 cents. March KC wheat closed down 17 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 7 1/2 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was down 10 1/2 cents.
