DTN Closing Grain Comments 02/14 14:02 Crop Prices Mostly Red on Valentines Day March contracts of corn, soybeans, meal and both winter wheats closed modestly lower Tuesday, in the red so to speak, after a quiet session of trading. The U.S. Labor Department said consumer prices were up 6.4% in January from a year ago, the seventh consecutive decline in annual inflation, but still well above the Fed's 2% target. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: March corn closed down 2 3/4 cents and December corn was up 1 cent. March soybeans closed down 5 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 1 3/4 cents. March KC wheat closed down 6 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was down 6 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 1 1/4 cents.
