Export bid structures were also reflective of nearby buying interest, as white wheat erased all carries and went flat through June. Hard red winter bids also maintained a sharp inverse, while dark northern spring bids show a solid carry into April delivery. After a weekend of scattered precipitation, the Pacific Northwest wheat growing areas are seeing cooler weather with light snow this week. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed another relatively good week for U.S. wheat loadings, coming in at 17.3 mb to put year-to-date shipments at 525 mb and less than 2% behind a year ago. Top shipper was hard red winter with 6.3 mb, followed by hard red spring at 5.9 mb and white wheat with 2.7 mb. West coast wheat shipping activity showed Japan taking 4.3 mb, followed by the Philippines with 2.1 mb. Egypt also took 1.1 mb of wheat and 12 mb of soybeans were loaded for China. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2023 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
