Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is down 4 cents, March soybeans are down 9 cents and March KC wheat is down 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, stock futures in the U.S. were a little lower, while European stocks were mostly higher. Consumer prices in the U.K. were reported up 10.1% in January from a year ago, slightly less than expected, but obviously high and likely encouraging another rate hike. The U.S. Commerce Department's retail sales report for January is due out at 7:30 a.m. CST, followed by the Federal Reserve's report of industrial production in January at 8:15 a.m. and the U.S. Energy Department's weekly report of energy inventories at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday's earnings reports include Kraft Heinz, Marathon Oil and Cisco Systems. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 156.66 at 34,089.27 and the S&P 500 down 1.16 at 4,136.13. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.76%, up from the lowest yield in over four months. Early Wednesday, March Dow Jones futures are down 96 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.37% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.39%. European markets are mostly higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.19% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.00%. The March euro is down $0.0014 at $1.0743. The March U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.27 at 103.39. The March 30-year T-bond is up 15/32nds, while April gold is down $21.10 at $1,844.30 and March crude oil is down $1.08 at $77.98. On China's Dalian exchange, March corn was up 0.6%, March soybeans were down 0.4%, May soybean meal was down 0.5% and May soybean oil was down 0.4%. April Malaysian palm oil is slightly lower.
