Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 1 cent, May soybeans are up 3 cents and May KC wheat is down 8 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, stock futures in the U.S. are starting higher with help from higher trade in Europe. Back from the weekend, traders will check the latest weather forecasts. A report on U.S. durable goods orders for January is due out at 7:30 a.m. CST, followed by pending home sales at 9 a.m. and USDA's weekly grain inspections at 10 a.m. Earnings season resumes Monday with reports from Occidental Petroleum and Progressive Corp. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 336.99 at 32,816.92 and the S&P 500 down 42.28 at 3,970.04. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.95%, near the highest yield in over three months. Early Monday, March Dow Jones futures are up 145 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.11% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.28%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.64%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 1.13% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.52%. The March euro is down $0.0002 at $1.0559. The March U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.03 at 105.13. The March 30-year T-bond is down 5/32nds, while April gold is down $1.60 at $1,815.50 and April crude oil is up $0.28 at $76.60. On China's Dalian exchange, May corn was down 0.7%, May soybeans were down 0.5%, May soybean meal was down 0.5% and May soybean oil was slightly higher. May Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.6%.
