Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 3 cents, May soybeans are up 8 cents and May KC wheat is steady. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, stock futures in the U.S. are roughly unchanged as higher interest rates remain at the forefront of attention after Fed Chairman Powell spent two days talking to Congress about the likelihood of more rate hikes. Ukrainian cities were struck by a wave of missile and drone attacks overnight, forcing the nuclear plant at Zaporizhzhia to rely on back-up diesel generators for a sixth time. USDA's weekly export sales will be out at 7:30 a.m. CST Thursday, the same time as weekly U.S. jobless claims and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. The U.S. Energy Department's weekly report of natural gas storage follows at 9:30 a.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 58.06 at 32,798.40 and the S&P 500 Index up 5.64 at 3,992.01. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.98%. Early Thursday, March Dow Jones futures are down 10 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.79%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.69% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.65%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.63% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.22%.
