DTN Early Word Grains 03/13 06:08 Corn, Wheat Start Week Lower May corn is down 4 cents; May soybeans are unchanged and May KC wheat is down 5 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down 4 cents; May soybeans are unchanged and May KC wheat is down 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, stock futures are mixed as some support has been seen from reports that depositors at the failed Silicon Valley Bank will be made whole. There are no major economic reports Monday, but the market will be watching closely Tuesday when the February CPI will be released. On Wednesday we will see the PPI as well as Retail Sales, and the Homebuilders Survey. Thursday brings February Housing Starts and Friday will be the March Consumer Sentiment report. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Sunday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 345.22 at 31,909.64 and the S&P 500 Index down 56.73 at 3,861.59. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.70%. Early Monday, March Dow Jones futures are down 29 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 1.97%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 2.42% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 2.47%. Asian markets are also lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 2.76% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.02%.
