DTN Early Word Grains 03/16 05:40 Grain Markets Mixed, European Stock Market Rebounds from Wednesday's European Bank Led Selloff May corn is up a penny, May soybeans are up 7 cents and May KC wheat is down 4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up a penny, May soybeans are up 7 cents and May KC wheat is down 4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: European bank shares are rallying Thursday morning as Credit Suisse has been given a lifeline in the form of a 54 billion Swiss Franc loan from the Swiss Central Bank. The European Central Bank is meeting and their decision on interest rates is highly anticipated and could move markets. U.S. markets had trimmed a significant portion of their losses by Wednesday's close, and they are slightly lower Thursday morning waiting for further developments. Interest rates remain volatile as Wednesday's threat to European banks drove down the 10-year treasury yield briefly below 3.4%, before closing just under 3.5%. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 280.83 at 31,874.57 and the S&P 500 Index down 27.36 at 3,891.93. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.49%. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures are down 74 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.17%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.72% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.83%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.78% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.06%.
