DTN Early Word Grains 03/21 05:38 Crop Prices Quietly Mixed Early Tuesday, Fed Decision in View May corn is up 1 cent, May soybeans are down 1 cent and May KC wheat is down 1/2 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 1 cent, May soybeans are down 1 cent and May KC wheat is down 1/2 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, U.S. stock futures are trading higher, along with stocks in Europe, showing some relief that the latest runs on banks are being contained. February U.S. existing home sales are due out at 9 a.m. CDT Tuesday. The Federal Reserve begins its two-day meeting with a lot to talk about, but no decision to announce until Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve will decide to either stay with its plans to hike interest rates or temporarily ease pressures after last week's banking failures. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 382.60 at 32,244.58 and the S&P 500 Index up 34.93 at 3,951.57. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.48%. Early Tuesday, June Dow Jones futures are up 223 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 1.35%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 1.31% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.25%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 1.42% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.64%.
