DTN Early Word Grains 04/03 05:30 Crop Prices Higher Early Monday; OPEC+ Cuts Production May corn is up 5 cents, May soybeans are up 7 cents and May KC wheat is up 14 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 5 cents, May soybeans are up 7 cents and May KC wheat is up 14 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, U.S. stock futures are mixed to higher with stocks a little higher in Europe and Asia. Oil prices are up over $4 a barrel after numerous reports emerged, saying OPEC+ will cut production by roughly 1.2 million barrels per day, starting in May. Manufacturing indices from around the world showed steady activity in China and mixed results throughout Asia, strong expansion in India and mostly contraction in Europe. An index of U.S. manufacturing activity in March will be out at 9 a.m. CDT. USDA's weekly report of export inspections is due at 10 a.m., followed by the first weekly Crop Progress report of 2023 at 3 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 415.12 at 33,274.15 and the S&P 500 Index up 58.48 at 4,109.31. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.49%. Early Monday, June Dow Jones futures are up 102 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.63%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.03% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.40%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.52% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.72%.
