Relative price changes across the futures complex were also apparent, as hard red winter and red spring wheat futures fared a bit better than Chicago through the week. Weekly Sales...USDA reported a modest boost in U.S. wheat export sales over the past week, and while still not a stellar number, it was the best tally in a month. Total sales of 7.1 mb puts year-to-date commitments at 666 mb, which is 5% behind a year ago and 18% off the 5-year average pace. Top seller was white wheat with 2.9 mb, putting sales at 167 mb which sets 36% ahead of a year ago but 34% below average. Hard red spring registered 2 mb and with 201 mb in the books, stands 4% ahead of a year ago but 17% below average.
