DTN Early Word Grains 04/10 05:51 Corn, Soybeans Mixed With Wheat Higher as Traders Contemplate Weather, USDA Report May corn is down a penny, May soybeans are up 2 cents, and May KC wheat is up 9 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down a penny, May soybeans are up 2 cents, and May KC wheat is up 9 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Stock markets around the world were closed Friday but a short futures session had futures slightly higher after Friday's employment report was close to trade expectations with 236,000 jobs gained in the month of March. Markets are quiet but slightly higher Monday morning with some underlying concern about military exercises by both China and the U.S. in the South China Sea this weekend. This week brings the new monthly CPI and PPI reports that will be market drivers when released on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 2.57 at 33,485.29 and the S&P 500 Index up 14.64 at 4,105.02. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.29%. Early Monday, June Dow Jones futures are up 28 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading unchanged, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.60% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.12%. Asian markets are also mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.42% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04%.The June euro is down $0.0005 at $1.0954. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.01 at 101.74. The June 30-year T-bond is down 2/32nds, while June gold is down $10.80 at $2,015.60 and May crude oil is up $0.25 at $80.95. On China's Dalian exchange, July corn was up 1.3%, May soybeans were down 0.5%, May soybean meal was down 0.2% and May soybean oil was down 1.0%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.9%.
