DTN Early Word Grains 04/11 05:41 Grain Prices Mixed Ahead of April WASDE Report May corn down 2 cents, May soybeans are up 8 cents, and May KC wheat is down 3 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn down 2 cents, May soybeans are up 8 cents, and May KC wheat is down 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity prices rose Monday after a two-sided session, and they are slightly higher early Tuesday morning. Despite the negative reactions to previous monthly CPI and PPI reports, the trade is expecting those inflation numbers to show some moderation which could confirm their belief that only one more quarter-point interest rate hike will be needed. Most of the recent economic data has shown a slowing of the economy, yet there seems to be a belief that the U.S. might be able to get through with only a mild recession or no recession at all. This has helped the stock market hold on to decent gains for the first quarter of 2023. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 101.23 at 33,586.52 and the S&P 500 Index up 4.09 at 4,109.11. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.42%. Early Tuesday, June Dow Jones futures are up 53 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.45%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.61% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.98%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.05% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.01%.
