DTN Early Word Grains 04/12 05:47 Grain Prices Mixed Wednesday on Weather Forecasts, USDA Report May corn is up 3 cents, May soybeans are down 2 cents, and May KC wheat is up 8 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 3 cents, May soybeans are down 2 cents, and May KC wheat is up 8 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity prices were mixed Tuesday and U.S. futures are quiet and mixed early Wednesday morning as the market anticipates the release of the CPI data at 7:30 a.m. CDT. This report has previously brought negative reactions to equity markets but the trade is anticipating benign numbers showing that inflation is slowing. Wednesday we will also get the minutes of the March Federal Reserve meeting. Finally, we will get EIA data which will include weekly ethanol production. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 98.27 at 33,684.79 and the S&P 500 Index down 0.17 at 4,108.94. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.43%. Early Wednesday, June Dow Jones futures are up 83 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.75%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.38% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.48%. Asian markets are also higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.57% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.04%.
