DTN Closing Grain Comments 04/13 13:43 Kansas City Wheat Nosedives on Rain Chance; Spot Soybeans Give Up Early Gains In volatile trade, all three wheat markets, led by KC May, sold off hard likely ahead of some better rain chances. Soybeans and soymeal surged early, but spot soybeans could not hold the strong gains, while spot corn sagged despite new sales of nearly 13 mb of corn to China. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: May corn closed down 3 3/4 cents per bushel at 6.52 and December corn was down 1 3/4 cents at 5.54. May soybeans closed down 3 1/4 cents at 15.01 and November soybeans were up 4 3/4 cents at 13.13. May KC wheat closed down 18 1/4 cents at 8.45, May Chicago wheat was down 12 1/2 cents at 6.67 and May Minneapolis wheat was down 10 1/2 cents at 8.50.
