USDA is working two donation tenders for Yemen for a total of just over 6 mb, and with a June shipping schedule the business firmed up old crop bids. Crop Progress...A week of warmer and wetter weather proved beneficial to the PNW winter wheat crop, as the three-state index climbed 2 points to 86% of average. Idaho saw the good to excellent category climb 15% to 25% (all in "good"), and Washington gained 6 points to 45%. Oregon saw an 11 point decline in that category, slipping to 31%. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed U.S. wheat movement off all ports slipped to about two-thirds of the prior week, coming in just under 9 mb. Year-to-date shipping totals stand 3% behind a year ago and top shipper for the week was hard red winter. Thailand was the primary taker off west coast ports. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2023 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
