DTN Early Word Grains 04/24 06:28 Grain Markets Mixed; Corn Lags on More Liquidation, Beans and Wheat Firmer July corn is down 6 cents, July soybeans are up 2 cents, and July KC wheat is up 3 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 6 cents, July soybeans are up 2 cents, and July KC wheat is up 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Last week brought the first full week of corporate earnings reports, which proved to be quite mixed in their results with many companies beating expectations but also with some major disappointments. Both the Dow and the S&P 500 posted very small weekly losses. Over the weekend, Moody's downgraded the ratings on several regional banks which may be responsible for the lower start to this week's futures trade. This week's economic data will include the Case-Shiller home price index and new home sales on Tuesday, durable goods orders on Wednesday, and the PCE index data on Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 22.34 at 33,808.96 and the S&P 500 Index up 3.73 at 4,133.52. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.57%. Early Friday, June Dow Jones futures are down 73 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.06%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.01% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.06%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.10% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.78%.
