DTN Early Word Grains 05/16 05:29 Crop Prices Mostly Lower Early Tuesday December corn is down 1 cent, November soybeans are down 5 cents and July KC wheat is down 5 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 1 cent, November soybeans are down 5 cents and July KC wheat is down 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, U.S. stock futures are starting lower with traders concerned about talks to raise the U.S. debt ceiling, but at least we haven't been hearing about new banking problems. GDP in the Eurozone was reported slightly higher in the first quarter and up 1.3% from a year ago. A report on U.S. retail sales for April is due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT, followed by U.S. industrial production at 8:15 a.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 47.98 at 33,348.60 and the S&P 500 Index up 12.20 at 4,136.28. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.51%. Early Tuesday, June Dow Jones futures are down 105 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.17%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.16% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.05%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.73% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.60%.
