DTN Early Word Grains 06/01 05:35 Grain Prices, Oilseeds Higher Early Thursday December corn is up 7 1/2 cents, November soybeans are up 19 cents and July KC wheat is up 9 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 7 1/2 cents, November soybeans are up 19 cents and July KC wheat is up 9 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, U.S. stocks are trading a little higher after the House passed the debt ceiling bill by a vote of 314 to 117. The bill now moves to the Senate. Stocks in Europe are trading higher after May consumer prices were reported up 6.1% in the Euro zone, less than expected. Late Wednesday, the Federal Reserve's Beige Book said economic activity was little changed in April and early May. At 7:30 a.m. CDT Thursday, weekly U.S. jobless claims will be out, along with a report on first-quarter productivity and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. An index of U.S. manufacturing is set for 9 a.m. The U.S. Energy Department's natural gas storage report will be out at 9:30 a.m. CDT, followed by weekly inventories, including ethanol production at 10 a.m. The monthly Fats and Oils report from NASS is set for 2 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 134.51 at 32,908.27 and the S&P 500 Index down 25.69 at 4,179.83. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.64%. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures are up 46 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.56%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 1.24% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.80%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.84% and China's Shanghai Composite Index unchanged.
