DTN Closing Grain Comments 06/20 13:49 New-Crop Corn, Soybeans Retreat Early But Recover; Wheat Mixed to Lower December corn and November beans slid lower early Tuesday despite weekend rains, but those were spotty and missed many areas. Both markets recovered late as the forecast remains mostly dry. There does seem to be better hope for some relief by the weekend and early next week. Wheat markets were mostly lower, led by hard wheat markets on the expanding harvest and profit-taking. Dana Mantini DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 3 1/2 cents per bushel (bu) at $6.44 and December corn was steady. July soybeans closed up 10 3/4 cents at $14.77 and November soybeans were up 1/2 cent at $13.43. July KC wheat closed down 6 cents at $8.36, July Chicago wheat was up 7 3/4 cents at $6.96 and September Minneapolis wheat was down 4 1/2 cents at $8.52.
