DTN Early Word Grains 06/28 05:47 Grain Markets Lower as Weather Models Continue to Show Rain for Corn Belt's Driest Areas December corn is down 7 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 13 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 7 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 13 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 1/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity markets are mixed Wednesday morning with the Dow slightly higher but the S&P slightly lower. We had a strong session Tuesday, as all the economic data that was released exceeded trade expectations. The economy continues to hold up well in the midst of the interest rate hikes. Wednesday, the market will be watching as Federal Reserve Board Chairman Powell will be speaking at a European Central Bank forum as will a number of other central bankers. Markets are worried that the tone from those bankers will continue to be hawkish. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 212.03 at 33,926.74 and the S&P 500 up 49.59 at 4,378.41, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.77%. Early Wednesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 28 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.6%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.83% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.92%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 2.02% and China's Shanghai Composite Index unchanged.
