DTN Early Word Grains 06/30 05:53 Grain Markets Higher as Storms Bring Welcome Rain, Unwelcome Wind and Hail December corn is up 4 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 16 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 10 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 6 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 11 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 4 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 16 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 10 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 6 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 11 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: U.S. equity markets are higher after a strong session on Thursday. Jobless claims were smaller than anticipated, just another good data point for the economy. The market seems less worried about two more interest rate hikes and happy about the impact that better economic data will have on corporate earnings. Europe just released its inflation rate, which was down to 5.5%. Less than last month but still high enough to ensure more rate hikes in Europe. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 269.76 at 34,122.42 and the S&P 500 up 19.58 at 4,396.44, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.85%. Early Friday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 97 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.67%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 1.18% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 1.15%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.14% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.62%.
