DTN Early Word Grains 07/03 06:43 Soybean Prices Push Higher Early Monday on Lack of Acres Early morning Globex net changes: December corn is up 7 cents, November soybeans are up 42 cents and September KC wheat is up 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 7 cents, November soybeans are up 42 cents and September KC wheat is up 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, U.S. stock futures are trading a little lower as traders look at indices of manufacturing activity for June. India showed strong expansion; China, Indonesia and Philippines showed slight expansion; and nearly everywhere else showed contraction with the U.S. report due out at 9 a.m. Monday. The U.S. stock market closes early Monday, while grains and livestock futures have normal closes. USDA's report of weekly export inspections will be out at 10 a.m. CDT Monday, followed by the monthly Fats and Oils report from NASS at 2 p.m. and Crop Progress at 3 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 285.18 at 34,407.60 and the S&P 500 Index up 53.94 at 4,450.38. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.82%. Early Monday, September Dow Jones futures are down 37 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.28%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.22% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.15%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.70% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.31%.
