DTN Early Word Grains 07/05 05:42 U.S. Grains, Livestock Set to Open at 8:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday December corn was down 1 1/4 cents, November soybeans was up 10 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 3 1/2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was down 1 1/4 cents, November soybeans was up 10 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 3 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Wednesday, U.S. stock futures are trading lower early, in line with Europe and Asia. On Tuesday, an index of manufacturing in China jumped up to 53.9 for May, a sign of expansion. Manufacturing indices also showed expansion for India on Monday, but most of Europe showed contraction. Back from the 4th of July, U.S. grain and livestock futures will open at 8:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday, followed by a report on U.S. factory orders for May at 9 a.m. and minutes from the latest Fed meeting at 1 p.m. Traders, of course, continue to keep a close watch on weather and the latest forecasts. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 10.87 at 34,418.47 and the S&P 500 Index up 5.21 at 4,455.59. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.86%. Early Wednesday, September Dow Jones futures are down 152 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.64%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.63% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.71%. Asian markets are also lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.25% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.69%.
