DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/06 14:32 Corn, Soy Move in Opposite Directions in Corrective Action; Wheat Ends Lower There was not a whole lot of news to impact markets Thursday, but corn and soybean futures moved in opposite directions as they corrected a bit from the divergence since the June stocks and seeding reports. November soybeans had risen close to $1.40, while December corn had fallen a like amount, following the shocking acreage numbers last week. Wheat continued its volatile trading pattern and finished lower Thursday in a wide and two-sided range. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed up 13 3/4 cents per bushel at $4.99 and December corn was up 13 cents at $5.07. August soybeans closed down 20 1/2 cents at $14.48 1/4 and November soybeans were down 15 1/2 cents at $13.40. September KC wheat closed down 2 1/2 cents at $8.44, September Chicago wheat was down 16 1/4 cents at $6.58 and September Minneapolis wheat was up 1/2 cents at $8.58.
