DTN Early Word Grains 07/13 05:38 Soybeans Get Early Bounce Thursday After Bearish USDA Report December corn was up 1 1/2 cents, November soybeans were up 16 cents and September KC wheat was up 1 cent. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was up 1 1/2 cents, November soybeans were up 16 cents and September KC wheat was up 1 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, U.S. stock futures are trading a little higher, with stocks in Europe and Asia also higher after Wednesday's encouraging report on lower U.S. inflation in June from the Labor Department. Stocks in China are also trading higher, even after June exports were reported down 12.4% from a year ago, another sign of a slowing economy. USDA's weekly export sales report will be out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Thursday, the same time as weekly U.S. jobless claims, a report on producer prices and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. The Energy Department's weekly report of natural gas storage follows at 9:30 a.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 86.01 at 34,347.43 and the S&P 500 Index up 32.90 at 4,472.16. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.86%. Early Thursday, September Dow Jones futures are up 45 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.16%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.48% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.55%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.49% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.26%.
