DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/17 13:49 Corn, Wheat Prices Deflate After Russia Refuses to Extend Black Sea Grain Deal Corn and wheat prices were higher early Monday on news Russia would not agree to extend the Black Sea grain deal, but the gains did not last long as contracts finished the day lower. November soybeans closed up 7 1/4 cents, boosted by a $10.60 gain in August soybean meal. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 7 1/4 cents and December corn was down 7 3/4 cents. August soybeans closed up 3 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 7 1/4 cents. September KC wheat closed down 13 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 7 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 6 cents.
