DTN Early Word Grains 07/18 05:49 Grain Prices Mostly Higher Despite Higher Crop Condition Ratings With Weather Still a Concern, Russia Attacks Odessa December corn is up 7 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 9 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 1 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 3 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 7 1/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 9 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 1 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 3 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 5 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Equity markets are mostly higher Tuesday morning after another higher close on Monday. News Tuesday morning is sparce, with markets anticipating more earnings reports, particularly those from the large U.S. banks. The S&P 500 index is now up over 17 percent through the 6 1/2 months of 2023, an amazing performance for an economy that has endured significantly higher interest rates and may still move into recession, at least in the opinion of many equity analysts. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 76.32 at 34,585.35 and the S&P 500 up 17.37 at 4,522.79, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.80%. Early Tuesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 13 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.05%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.04% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.04%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.32% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.37%.
