DTN Early Word Grains 07/19 05:45 Grain Prices Sharply Higher as Russia Launches Attacks on Port of Odessa for 2nd Consecutive Night December corn is up 23 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 21 cents, September KC wheat is up 17 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 27 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 11 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 23 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 21 cents, September KC wheat is up 17 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 27 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 11 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are all higher as earnings reports from U.S. banks were better than anticipated. Bank of America and Morgan Stanley both announced strong results that helped push the Dow to levels not seen since April of 2022. Investors are now feeling confident again about the market and are moving significant amounts of cash that had been on the sidelines back into equities. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 366.58 at 34,951.93 and the S&P 500 up 32.19 at 4,554.98, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.79%. Early Wednesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 52 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 1.41%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.02% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.44%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.24% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.03%.
