DTN Early Word Grains 07/20 05:44 Grain Prices Higher on Weather and Ukraine, Although the Market is Seeing Waves of Hedge Selling, Profit Taking December corn is up 2 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1/2 cent, September KC wheat is up 9 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 5 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 15 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 2 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1/2 cent, September KC wheat is up 9 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 5 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 15 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Thursday morning, with European markets pointing higher while Asian markets are moving lower. U.S. markets are mixed with the Dow continuing its rally but with the S&P 500 slightly lower. Generally, economic data continues to show impacts from the higher interest rates, but also showing that those impacts are not as recessionary as the markets originally feared. Thursday morning, we will see the weekly initial jobless claims number, as well as existing home sales for June and June's leading economic indicators. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 109.28 at 35,061.21 and the S&P 500 up 10.74 at 4,565.72, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.74%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 52 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.58%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.15% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.35%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 1.23% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.92%.
