Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was down 11 cents, November soybeans were down 17 cents and September KC wheat was down 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little lower as the Federal Reserve will soon start a two-day meeting Tuesday that is expected to result in a quarter-percent increase on Wednesday afternoon. News from Ukraine was quieter early Tuesday with light drone attacks on Kyiv and continued fighting in southern and eastern Ukraine. An index of U.S. consumer confidence in July is set for 9 a.m. CDT Tuesday. USDA's monthly cold storage report will be out at 2 p.m. CDT. Monday's Russian attack on the port at Reni, Ukraine is very close to NATO member Romania and may have been responsible for part of the upward stir in crude oil prices. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 183.55 at 35,411.24 and the S&P 500 Index up 18.30 at 4,554.64. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.86%. Early Tuesday, September Dow Jones futures are down 5 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.14%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.05% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.09%. Asian markets are mostly higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.06% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 2.13%.
