DTN Early Word Grains 08/01 05:49 Grain Prices Mixed With Lower Crop Condition Ratings Trying to Halt the Recent Slide in Prices December corn is steady, November soybeans are up 3/4 cent, September KC wheat is down 4 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1/4 cent. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is steady, November soybeans are up 3/4 cent, September KC wheat is down 4 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 1/2 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1/4 cent. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Tuesday morning after another day of gains in the U.S. Tuesday will bring one of the busiest days of earnings results in an earnings season that has been surprisingly strong to date. Tuesday morning will also bring the release of the ISM manufacturing index for July. This is one of the key pieces of economic data that the Fed will be looking at when it considers the state of the economy and whether another interest rate hike will be appropriate. We will also get a couple of key monthly reports in agriculture. We will get USDA reports on Fats and Oils (soybean crush), Grain Crushings (Ethanol grind), and Flour Milling (wheat grind for flour). OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 100.24 at 35,559.53 and the S&P 500 up 6.73 at 4,588.96, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.96%. Early Tuesday, the September Dow Jones Futures are down 94 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.54%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.97% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.91%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.92% and China's Shanghai Composite Index unchanged.
