DTN Early Word Grains 08/14 05:54 Grains Mixed; Soybeans Supported by Warmer, Drier 6-10 Day Forecasts December corn is down 2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 10 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 10 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 4 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is down 4 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is down 2 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Monday morning with U.S. markets slightly higher. The focus remains on earnings, which have generally been better than expected but still show the impact of higher interest rates. Additionally, the market is trying to assess the next move from the Federal Reserve, and whether they will pause or increase rates one more time. Important data points this week will include retail sales, housing starts, and the minutes of the last Federal Reserve meeting. The major agricultural report this week will be the Cattle on Feed report Friday afternoon. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 105.25 at 35,281.40 and the S&P 500 down 4.78 at 4,464.05, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.17%. Early Monday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 51 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.25%, spot futures of Germany's DAX are trading up 0.62% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index are up 0.37%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 1.27% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.34%.
