DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/21 13:43 Corn and Wheat Prices End Lower on Risky Ukrainian Plan December corn closed down 10 1/2 cents and December contracts of all three U.S. wheats posted double-digit losses Monday with several media sources reporting a new route being proposed to ship Ukrainian grain. November soybeans finished up 8 1/2 cents with reluctant support from a hot and dry forecast. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 10 1/4 cents and December corn was down 10 1/2 cents. September soybeans closed up 7 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 8 1/2 cents. December KC wheat closed down 12 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat was down 13 1/2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 18 3/4 cents. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.06 at 103.31. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 67.65 points at 34,433.01. December gold is up $6.70 at $1,923.20, September silver is up $0.61 at $23.35 and September copper is up $0.0180. October crude oil is down $0.59 at $80.07, October ultra-low sulfur diesel is down $0.0370, October RBOB gasoline is down $0.0465 and October natural gas is up $0.041.
