DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/22 13:38 Corn and Soybean Prices Ignore Tuesday's Heat, End Lower December corn closed down 3 cents and November soybeans were down 15 3/4 cents, finishing lower on a day when the central U.S. was covered with excessive heat warnings and have almost no rain in the forecast. October soybean oil also pressured soybean prices, closing down 2.44 cents after encountering resistance near 67 cents a pound. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 2 3/4 cents and December corn was down 3 cents. September soybeans closed down 18 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 15 3/4 cents. December KC wheat closed down 1/2 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 2 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 7 1/4 cents.
