DTN Early Word Grains 08/28 05:44 Grain Prices Mixed With Corn, Soybeans Higher on Extended Warmer, Dryer Outlook December corn is up 3 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 10 cents, December KC wheat is down 11 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 5 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 3 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 3 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 10 cents, December KC wheat is down 11 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 5 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are higher Monday morning, showing some follow-through from the strong day in U.S. equity markets on Friday. The highlight was Fed Chairman Powell's speech in Jackson hole where the "higher for longer" theme was reiterated. He said that there could be additional rate hikes in the future if the data showed that they are warranted. Ultimately, the market didn't hear anything that was unexpected, and the market rallied to close out the week. This week we will see the Case-Shiller home price index and Consumer Confidence on Tuesday, the Q2 GDP revision on Wednesday, PCE inflation data on Thursday, and the September Jobs report on Friday. It will be a busy week for new economic data. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 247.48 at 34,346.90 and the S&P 500 up 29.40 at 4,405.71, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.24%. Early Monday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 67 points. European markets are mostly higher with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 steady, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.24% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.45%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.73% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 1.13%.
