DTN Early Word Grains 08/31 05:42 Grain Prices Lower With Poor Technical, Month End Liquidation Offsetting Weather Forecasts December corn is down 3/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 4 1/2 cents, December KC wheat is down 10 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 8 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 6 1/4 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 3/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans are down 4 1/2 cents, December KC wheat is down 10 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 8 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 6 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher Thursday morning and are poised to end the month well off the recent lows. Wednesday's revision of 2nd quarter GDP was only up 2.1%, below trade estimates of 2.4%. The ADP employment total for August was up only 177,000 jobs, below the expectation for 200,000. These slightly lower economic indicators are just what equity traders are looking for as it may keep the Fed from raising interest rates in September. Thursday morning, we will get the PCE inflation data which will be closely followed. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 37.57 at 34,890.24 and the S&P 500 up 17.24 at 4,514.87, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.12%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 122 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.56% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.05%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.88% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.55%.
