DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/05 13:49 Soybean Meal Pushes to Fifth Consecutive Loss, Dragging Beans Lower; Wheat and Corn End Firm Although the hot, dry weekend is expected to lead to another condition decline on the USDA Crop Progress report Tuesday afternoon, the soy complex weakened following the lead of soymeal, which fell for the fifth straight day. Wheat and corn firmed on news Russia has refused to extend the Black Sea grain corridor in the absence of concessions. A cooler and wetter forecast sets in at midweek for the Corn Belt. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 4 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 4 1/4 cents per bushel. December KC wheat closed up 1 3/4 cents per bushel, December Chicago wheat is up 3 3/4 cents per bushel and December Minneapolis wheat finished up 2 1/2 cents.
