DTN Early Word Grains 09/05 05:30 Back From Long, Dry Weekend, U.S. Crop Prices Steady to Lower December corn was unchanged, November soybeans were down 5 cents and December KC wheat was down 3 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was unchanged, November soybeans were down 5 cents and December KC wheat was down 3 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Tuesday, Dow Jones futures are trading a little lower, in line with European stocks. Friday's report from the Labor Department showed U.S. employment at a new record high in August, but prospects for another rate hike in September will likely keep traders cautious. USDA's weekly grain export inspections are due out at 10 a.m. CDT Tuesday, followed by Crop Progress at 3 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 115.80 at 34,837.71 and the S&P 500 Index up 8.11 at 4,515.77. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.17%. Early Tuesday, September Dow Jones futures are down 44 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.20%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading down 0.32% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.85%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.30% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.71%.
