DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/14 13:45 Soybeans, Soymeal Surge Higher; Wheat Sets Back in Quiet Trade Soybeans and soymeal surged on good export demand and tighter U.S. ending stocks WASDE projected to finish sharply higher Thursday. Wheat markets, after two consecutive higher finishes, backed off a bit Thursday as the new-crop sales pace remains well below a year ago. Corn was down slightly Thursday in quiet trade as. December KC wheat ended down 8 1/4 cents per bushel, December Chicago wheat was down 3 1/2 cents per bushel and December Minneapolis wheat settled down 5 1/2 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 320.22 points at 34,895.75 and The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.620 at 105.39 and October crude oil is up $1.66 per barrel at $90.18.
