DTN Early Word Grains 09/14 05:53 Grain Prices Mixed as Harvest Pressure Will be Picking Up Soon in Corn, Soybeans December corn is down 1 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 2 cents, December KC wheat is down 6 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 4 3/4 cents. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is down 1 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 2 cents, December KC wheat is down 6 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 4 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat is down 4 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: U.S. equity markets are higher Thursday morning after Wednesday's mixed performance in the aftermath of the CPI data. That data was mostly in line with expectations as energy prices were the primary driver for the 0.6% increase in CPI. The core CPI was up 0.3%, which was a tick higher than expected. Real average weekly earnings were down 0.1% suggesting that the consumer is losing purchasing power, which the Fed might take as a reason to pause. Thursday we will get the PPI data as well as Retail Sales. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 70.46 at 34,575.53 and the S&P 500 up 5.54 at 4,467.44, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.25%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 97 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.73%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.14% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.01%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.41% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.11%.
