DTN Early Word Grains 09/27 05:50 Grain Prices Mostly Higher Ahead of Friday's Important Grain Stocks and Small Grains Summary Reports December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 7 1/2 cents and December KC wheat was steady. By Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were up 7 1/2 cents and December KC wheat was steady. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Wednesday morning, with U.S. and Asian markets a little higher while Europe is now mostly lower. On Tuesday, markets were lower on the continued rally in bond yields which pushed the 10-year note above 4.5%. Recent data shows a slowing economy, but labor costs and higher energy costs are keeping inflation a major concern for the Fed. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 388.00 at 33,618.88 and the S&P 500 down 63.91 at 4,273.53, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.56%. Early Wednesday, the December Dow Jones Futures are up 78 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.4%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.23% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.02%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.18% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.16%.
