DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/11 13:55 November Soybeans Again Challenge $12.50 Support, While Corn Moves Higher in 2-Sided Trade Grain and soy markets chopped around Wednesday ahead of the October WASDE report scheduled for Thursday morning. Traders are expecting only minor adjustments to yield, production, and ending stocks for corn and beans. While everything started the day weaker, corn was able to halt a four-day slide by closing modestly higher. Soybeans were down sharply early, testing the $12.50 area, and were able to stay above that, but fell again near the close to challenge that key area again. Wheat, as usual, was lower on weak demand. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 2 1/2 cents per bushel at $4.88 and March corn was up 2 1/2 cents at $5.03 3/4. November soybeans closed down 19 cents at $12.53 and January soybeans were down 17 cents at $12.72 1/4. December KC wheat closed down 4 cents at $6.67, December Chicago wheat was down 2 1/2 cents at $5.56 and December Minneapolis wheat was down 5 1/4 cents at $7.18.
